Longevity
Longevity is the name of the game in sewer rehab. When it absolutely, positively must last, OBIC spray on coatings are the empirical favorite. Made of a flexible polymer that is environmentally friendly, OBIC sewer lining repair systems are spray applied and cure in minutes. This means that your next manhole rehabilitation will require minimum downtime and greater protection than thin film or more rigid materials. OBIC products are designed to stop degradation and enhance structural integrity. Our products last for decades without cracking under the pressure of temperature changes or heavy traffic.
Testing
Testing is required to ensure OBIC products continue to exceed expectations. They are continually tested and backed by a team of chemists who employ rigorous testing to ensure consistency and quality. Additionally, third-party testing has proven that OBIC products are physically stronger than many products available on the market.
OBIC Customizable Solutions
OBIC Customizable Solutions are available for even the most challenging manhole rehabilitation project. Water and wastewater structure rehabilitation can require customized solutions depending on the issues and the industry. In these situations, OBIC’s team of chemists works with the customer to develop a customized solution that will meet their unique needs. Every customized product that OBIC offers is backed by our commitment to provide high quality, cost-effective alternatives to the replacement of water and wastewater system components through no-dig technology.

OBIC’s Polyurea Products
OBIC’s polyurea products are manufactured in an ISO 9001-2015 certified facility. Each specific product is formulated to maximize its performance based upon the particular application of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater or industrial use. Below is a list of our Polyurea products and their intended uses:
- OBIC 5000: Structural Lining for Water & Wastewater Structure Rehabilitation, Industrial & Manufacturing.
- OBIC 1000: Wastewater Rehab for manholes, industrial structures, water distribution, and transportation.
- OBIC 1200: Pipeline and culvert lining rehabilitation.
- OBIC 1100 PW: Potable water containment for industrial, manufacturing, and water distribution preventive coating and rehabilitation.
- OBIC 1100 Polyaspartic & OBIC 1151: Aliphatic: Manhole rehab, industrial manufacturing, water distribution, and transportation preventive coating and rehab.
Polyurethane Foam
Polyurethane foam is ideal for wastewater structure rehabilitation and industrial coatings. Polyurethane foam is utilized as middle lalyer (known as the surfacing layer) of the OBIC multi-layer liner system for wastewater structure rehabilitation. OBIC Surfacer 1306 is a spray-applied, two-component, closed-cell polyurethane backing material for primary surface enhancement within the OBIC Armor application.
Typical uses include:
- Manhole rehabilitation, wet well lining and pump station coatings
- Masonry stabilization of block and brick for crack filing and surface enhancement
- Industrial and manufacturing
- Tank lining
- Geotechnical surface application
Product Information
OBIC Surfacer 1306 expands to fill in cracks, joints, voids and bug holes in the substrate. This improves the structural integrity and inhibiting sources of leaks and infiltration. Backed by 50-years of foam manufacturing experience, OBIC Surfacer 1306 was developed and tested by chemists and engineers to provide outstanding performance integral to the multi-layer OBIC Armor application.

OBIC Polyurethane Grout
OBIC polyurethane grout stops even the toughest leaks. The OBIC family of acrylic, polyurethane, hydrophilic and hydrophobic injection grouts are utilized to stop ground water infiltration prior to installation of the OBIC lining system. Depending on the type of structure and nature of the infiltration, the appropriate grout system is utilized. Some grouts expand in the presence of water while others form a seal to prevent infiltration which may occur during a rain event.
Inflow and infiltration issues
Inflow and infiltration issues must be stopped. And OBIC offers a complete line of polyurethane grout materials for stopping leaks that occur in water and wastewater structures. Most manhole rehabilitation projects involve brick and concrete structures that have cracks, missing or deteriorated gaskets, pipe protrusions or other pathways allowing groundwater to enter. OBIC products are designed to stop sewer system inflow and infiltration issues, but they will not adhere to running water. Installers must stop any active groundwater infiltration until the OBIC system is applied. The most common material used by OBIC installers for leak stopping is polyurethane chemical grout.
Customized Solutions
Customized solutions for water or wastewater structure rehabilitation projects allow us to ensure success. Choosing the correct repair material to match the leaking condition is critical for a successful result. That is why the OBIC product line includes both pumped and hand injected polyurethane grouts. All certified OBIC installers are thoroughly trained in the proper grouting systems for stopping leaks in even the most challenging water or wastewater rehabilitation project.
Hydrophilic Polyurethane Grout seeks out water, is absorbed into cracks and pores of the concrete or masonry and has a tenacious bond to wet concrete. It is used to stop leaks via crack or joint injection.
Hydrophobic Grout repels water, and its reaction is not affected by the presence of water. Hydrophobics are not well suited for crack injection, but are excellent for curtain grouting, sealing gushing leaks, compression sealing, void filling, and soil stabilization.
